WWT London Wetland Centre is a beautiful 105-acre nature reserve and visitor attraction in Barnes. Acclaimed as the best urban site in Europe to watch wildlife, it supports a wealth of wetland wildlife, in particular wild birds which arrive in their thousands from around the globe. Explore the World Wetlands conservation collection and see endangered and exotic wildfowl from all over the world. You may also spot water voles, common lizards and dragonflies in and around the ponds and reedbeds!
The centre is also a haven for people, whether relaxing, watching the wildlife, enjoying a walk around the reserve or enjoying a meal in our Waters Edge Cafe. There is a varied programme of events at the centre for all visitors, including free guided walks and tours.
Be one of the first to see our beautiful new RBC Rain Garden, which opens on 15 September, with a pavilion, cascade of water gardens, streams and wildflower meadow.
BBC Springwatch presenter Chris Packham says about London Wetland Centre: "I love it here. It is one of my favourite places in the country." Come along and see for yourself!
