A few websites to provide you with some history of the river Thames.

  • BBC: River Thames  A photography exhibition exploring the transformation of the Thames, comparing modern day photographs with those from over 135 years ago.
  • Floating Down the River  Covers a broad range of topics about the river Thames and is especially aimed at boat owners.
  • Museum of London  Provides a history of the Thames along with a variety of different pictures of the river.
  • Thames Pilot  A unique collection of images and documents that chart the rich history of the river Thames, from source to sea.
